WHAT YOU DO
Every time you flush a toilet or take a drink of fresh water from your kitchen tap, you have a Plumber to thank. Plumbers are the ones who install, repair and maintain the pipes, fixtures and other plumbing equipment that we depend on every day.
As a Plumber, you could be responsible for laying new pipe at a construction site, repairing a bathtub in someone’s home, or locating a gas leak at a factory. The pipes you’re dealing with might be made of copper, steel, cast iron, concrete or plastic, and could be carrying water, steam, waste, chemicals or natural gas. Depending on your job, basic welding, electrical and gasfitting skills could also come in handy.
