WHAT YOU DO
As an Industrial Electrician, you will be using your mind and body to work: inspecting, testing and repairing industrial equipment and electrical systems.
You will be inspecting, installing, maintaining, testing and repairing high-voltage industrial equipment and associated electrical and electronic controls. You’ll need to have a strong analytical skill set and good manual dexterity (working with your hands and eyes)

- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and electrical code specifications
- Install electrical components
- Replace or repair electrical components including switchgears, generators and control systems
- Keep maintenance records
- Test electrical equipment for current, voltage and resistance

As an Industrial Electrician, you would most likely work for electrical contractors and maintenance departments for factories and industrial establishments, and energy provider comapanies.
