If you loved playing with toy trucks when you were a kid, that has very little to do with being a Heavy Equipment Operator. This is the real deal and it’s serious business. Heavy Equipment Operators are first and foremost safe and responsible, then sure, it can be fun.
As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you operate bulldozers, backhoes, loaders, excavators and more. You might move, load and grade earth, rock, gravel and other materials at a construction site. You could be excavating rock and ore at a mine, running dredging equipment to deepen waterways, or clearing brush and stumps for roads or new construction.
