As a Hairstylist, also referred to as a cosmetologist, you need to be friendly and fast on your feet as you whisk clients from station to station wielding sharp scissors and razors. Hairstylists are the ultimate multitaskers. With a comb in one hand and a pair of scissors in the other, they’ll snip your hair into shape—all while keeping one eye on the next client, their mind on the conversation and a smile on their face.

- How to colour hair, including bleaching, tinting, dying and streaking
- How to apply hair extensions
- How to analyze a client’s hair and scalp and recommend treatments and care
- How to recommend hairstyles and colours that suit a client’s features and preferences
