Crane Operator

WHAT YOU DO

Soar above construction sites and cityscapes to perform delicate procedures from the driver’s seat of a tower crane.

You’ll make heavy lifting look easy as you hoist up to 80 tonnes of materials to and from building sites with confidence.

As a Crane Operator, you’ll manage everything to do with crane work including planning the lift, setting up the crane, and taking the crane down again when you’re done. You’re the hired Hulk of a job, but with the calm composure of an expert operator.

• How to interpret load charts and drawings
• How to assemble, operate, and disassemble a crane
• How to conduct a site assessment and safely position a crane and boom truck

WHO YOU WORK FOR

As a Crane Operator, you can work for construction, industrial, mining, cargo handling, and even railway companies and contractors. Though the crane is typically outdoors, you’ll be working inside a covered control cab.
